Padel at Denham Grove / Brand, website & booking flow

Padel, at Denham Grove.

Padel at Denham Grove is a new club within a Georgian country hotel estate in South Buckinghamshire. Genius Digital Labs created its identity, eight-page website, Playtomic booking flow and communications infrastructure, launching the complete system in May 2026 for two panoramic outdoor courts.

01 The brief

A hospitality brand first, and a sports brand second.

Give a new club the manners of the country house it sits on.

Denham Grove Hotel was opening two panoramic outdoor padel courts within its South Buckinghamshire grounds. The usual category language (bold sans-serifs, high-contrast blocks, the directness of a fitness app) would have felt misplaced against a Georgian country house.

The club needed a considered identity and a website that behaved like the property it belonged to: unhurried, tactile and specific to the setting.

It also had practical work to do. The same system needed to book courts, sell memberships and run a weekly timetable without losing the character of the estate.

02 The approach

A quieter typographic register, drawn from the estate.

Use what was already there.

Grove Green came from the tree line behind the courts. A restrained aged gold echoed the brass and stonework at the hotel entrance, with cream and warm neutrals standing in for the club's writing paper.

Cormorant Garamond carries the display work, with italic reserved for a single word in each composition. Inter handles utility copy and metadata. The hierarchy is strict, and gold appears once per view.

The bespoke mark draws a padel racquet in a single loop around a ball. It works as an animated SVG at display scale and reduces to a pared-back ball glyph for the favicon and app tile.

We wanted it to look like it had always been there.

03 The work

One identity across the complete launch surface.

From the mark to the Sunday morning booking.

The engagement covered the visual identity and the transactional plumbing that lets a member find a session, book a court or make an enquiry.

An eight-page React and Tailwind site opens with real golden-hour photography. Motion is limited to a first-load reveal, restrained parallax and scroll-triggered section transitions, leaving the rest of the interface still.

  • Bespoke wordmark, racquet-and-ball glyph, estate palette and editorial type system
  • Eight-page marketing site deployed on Vercel
  • Weekly timetable colour-coded by session audience
  • Court booking connected to Playtomic through a consistent co-branded pattern
  • Serverless contact route, verified sender domain, transactional delivery, member auto-response and fallback handling

04 In situ

The courts as they are, not a rendered promise.

A landing page that opens like a country weekend.

The home page gives one golden-hour image room to breathe. Navigation, calls to action and scroll cues sit at the edges rather than covering the view, so the first thing a visitor reads is the place itself.

The same measured composition carries through courts, play, timetable and events pages, keeping the booking route visible without turning the site into a sales surface.

A country hotel, forty-two acres, and, at last, a game.

05 The outcome

Live in May 2026.

The club has a front door that belongs to the estate.

The site replaced an earlier holding page and interim brand. It is now the primary route for court bookings, coaching enquiries and memberships.

The result is a small, complete system: one identity, a working timetable, a direct booking path and communications infrastructure built for daily use.

The most beautiful padel setting I have played at in the UK. The courts, the grounds, the atmosphere; nothing else comes close.
